The kmz file can be opened with Google Earth. It contains the Northern Loop trail, the trails from Sunrise and the Carbon River entrance, a few side trails, campsites, fly-through tours, and a few other things. Also included are full round-trip trails for both trailheads so you can easily map the distances and elevations. Actual camp locations are further off the trail and add extra distance. Disclaimer
: These maps and elevation profiles may contain incorrect distances, elevation information, etc. I have attempted to make them as accurate as possible, but inevitably there are some inaccuracies due to user error, seasonal trail changes, and software issues. I noticed in Google Earth that depending on your screen size, and zoom level, that the Google Earth Elevation Profile distance changes slightly, and it’s shorter than the distance shown by right-clicking the path and selecting properties. Hm… Use these files as a general reference but don’t expect exact measurements.

Other Maps

The NPS site has a Google Earth kmz that contains trails all over the park, but many of them are broken up into small segments.
